wednesday: The Family Ghost practiced that night after work...it went pretty well...later a group went and did karaoke at Windjammer's...at first there was a small group of soror-whores with a frat dude or two, but they left shortly after and the rest of the time we were the only people there doing the karaoke...needless to say, i got to sing a lot: "Virginia Plain," "The Immigrant Song," some song about Jesus' gentle hands or something, and a song called "Haunted House" by "(Jumpin') Gene Simmons"...unfortunately this was not the same Gene Simmons i thought it was...and it ended up just being some lame novelty song...oh well...and the guy who was running the karaoke had me dedicate the Jesus song to the lady who owns the place...he said she's very religious...and, while i refrained from singing it over-the-top-bad, i just sang it in my normal bad voice...all the people that worked there said it was sweet and they clapped and such...later, just before we left, the owner lady thanked me for singing that for her...i dunno...it was just kind of amusing...
nothing really went on the next two days...though friday, whille stopping by the Oak Court Mall for some glory hole action, i tried that Bubble Tea place for the first time...dear lord it's one of the best things ever...now, you can get it with tea, but for the most part what it is is a type of fruit smoothie and they put these balls of tapioca all in it...and you get this giant straw to suck it all up with...uh, it's one of the best things ever...the lady that works there is super-nice and one of the coolest people ever...she's just this super-nice, old asian woman and uh, the bubble tea stuff gives me like 20,000 boners...and there's like over 20 different flavors to choose from...and they use fresh fruit and it's like so fucking great...for my first time i had papaya...it ruled...
saturday: The Family Ghost practiced again...it was good...afterwards we (me, Jacques, Amber, and Justin) went up to the Oak Court Mall again after talk of bubble tea (Jacques and Amber are the ones who i had heard about this amazing phenomonon from) this time i had honeydew...i also tasted the flavors the others got...it was all great...while there we went to Software Etc....i got for the NES:
Ninja Gaiden
Kid Kool: and the Quest for the Seven Wonder Herbs
Clu Clu Land
and for the Gamecube
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest (it was only released with Zelda: Wind Waker as a bonus if you preordered it...so it was sweet to find it used...)
Animal Crossing
i acquired a few other things yesterday as well...in the mail i got a cd i had ordered:
Bedhead: What Fun Life Was
and Amanda gave me a book:
The Complete Stories (Flannery O'Connor)
then later last night Jamie had a party...at it were his coworks (the people who threw last week's final Halloween party...) i mean, as it was a party, it was pretty lame...as parties are pretty lame...but for a while they were doing some karaoke on Jamie's X-Box...at one point i sang "Sister Ray"...though not all of it...though i did have at least 10 minutes of it going...and they closed it out with my rendition of "Disorder"...this was the hilight of the evening...i did the whole Ian Curtis dance and finished it off with a fake seizure on the floor...i left not too long after that so i don't know if anything else fun happened...but i was back home to my apartment where i played my video games...
today: i've just been sitting around playing video games...well, almost strictly Zelda (Wind Waker still...) i love Zelda so much...uh, and then i came out here to my parents' house...yeah...
