Oct. 20th, 2003 08:22 pmnot much went on friday night...just hung out over at Jason/Amanda's...saturday was pretty awesome...The Family Ghost had our first practice since the fucking storm...Josh played with us as well...and i think it went over quite nicely...especially for his first time with us...(us now being myself, Jacques, Brad, and Josh...) later that night i went to my parents' house 'cuz a bunch of relatives were over from far away...it was all right, actually...then uh...i went back to my apartment where some hanging out was going on...but nothing in particular really went down...yesterday was pretty awesome...we (Amanda, Jason, Brad, Ben, Jamie, and myself) went to the flea market...i got som stuff...a cheap glass chess set...some video games:
Namcomuseum
Wario World
as well as some vinyl:
Talking Heads: Fear of Music
Herbie Hancock: Head Hunters
Pharaoh Sanders: Deaf Dumb Blind
i got a cheap electronic multimeter...and lastaly two silk screen concert poster remakes...the coolest of the two being for a Velvet Underground show in Chicago with the whole Andy Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable thingie...the other was for a Miles Davis show on Beale Street in '59...when i get some tacks they're going up in the hall...and will look cool...not much else went on...later last night, in typical drunken fashion, Brad broke my "Candy Zone" sign...but it should be fixable with some glue...uh...Tim has this new kitten (or his girlfriend does...i'm not sure how permenant a fixture in our apartment it is...but it's over there a good bit...) it's really cute though...and follows you around and climbs on top of you and stuff...the friendliest cat i've ever seen...it rules...oh shit! i'm forgetting stuff...of anything anyone got at the flea market, Brad had the best bout with luck...he scored an Intellivision with a box of games for $20...i'm jealous...(though i did get something else cool: a fried snickers bar...oh my god it was one of the best things i've ever eaten...seriously...sooo fucking great...the thought of a fried twinkie disgusted me, but after that i'm wanting to try one of those some time as well...) anyway...playing Intellivision Bowling gave us the idea to do the real deal...so we (myself, Brad, Tim, Jason, Amanda, Jamie, and Matt) went bowling...it was fun...then i worked today...now i'm alone at my parents' house 'cuz they're out of town...soon to go back home...woo...
