ateolf: (the goat...BITCH!)
woke up, bathed...Jacques had made his way to my house just as i was getting dressed...he accompanied me to Radio Shack so i could get some tuner cleaner to fix the bass...we got back and i was a bit annoyed when that didn't help...i figured there was a loose wire or a short or something so i opened it up...after a little poking and proding i saw that there was this bit of solder drooping from the wires and sort of half-touching the foil underneath...so i pushed whatever connection it was up and away from that and the problem was solved...for a while i was worried i'd have to break out the soldering iron...fixing simple stuff is pretty cool...i guess fixing stuff is just pretty cool...and i'm not quite able to do more than what is simple...so yea...

it was a little while before the rest of the band got there...we played a couple songs before we started packing..."Placeholder" and "Homage"...Justin showed up with David...they helped us haul the great...two of the best dudes ever!

this was the first show, i think, where we actually showed up to the venue a bit early...there wasn't a huge crowd...but some people did show up...The Potomac Accord were really damned good...next was uh, us, of course...here's the setlist:
Placeholder
A Better Way of Failing
Homage
A Series of False Starts
Taken
i think it prob'ly wasn't as good as our last show...but still good...the only thing about the show that was glaringly wrong was when Brad lapsed into the "drums falling down the stairs" rhythm durring the breakdown in "A Series of False Starts"...a moment that will likely become legendary Family Ghost folklore...Brad had freaked out about it saying he ruined the show...he didn't...he just messed up once...to me at least, "Taken" seemed exceptionally vicious...i think "Placeholder" turned out really well...as well..."A Series of False Starts" was just about perfect not counting the previously mentioned misstep...i don't think there's too much else i can think of to say about our actual performance...

Jorden showed up...i'll just say that now there's no doubt that she really likes me...still that doesn't keep me from being a completely inept tard around her...hopefully we'll get to just hang out again soon...maybe i'll even manage to not dick the whole thing up completely!

there was some cd exchangings tonight...i got The Potomac Accord's newer album (In One-Hundred Years the Prize Will Be Forgotten)...also, later, i passed along my bad Herbie Hancock cd to David...yea...when we brought gear back out to my house, i ended up "cooking" for Justin and Keith...it was a nice, sweet meal...we headed back out to Keith's apartment...unfortunately by the time we got back out there almost everyone had left or gone to bed...but Adam was up watching Mr. Show so we at least got some of that wonderfulness...now i'm back home...may ya'll all rock hard an' shit...
