vinyl destroys music
Jun. 19th, 2003 02:16 amtoday: Keith had left his keys in my car so i went over there to give 'em to him...then sat around there, mostly watching tv...after a while he, Brad, and i went to Turtle's...they had The Fantasia Anthology dvd set used, so i got that...and for like half the price i've seen it in stores...i also got Stereolab's Emperor Tomato Ketchup cd for $4...more sitting around...that's about it...
a few [pointless and boring] things about yesterday that i neglected to mention: as my car has no a/c, i thought it'd be a good idea to bring a cooler along for some cold, liquid refreshment...i had no fucking idea just how great those fucking things work! fucking 14 hours later, the drinks were still bordering freezing temperatures! i was slightly fascinated by that...at the show, i bought the Ecstatic Peace poetry journal #5 along with the shirt...damnit...it seems like there was something else i was gonna mention...oh yea...one of the things about the show...i thought the sound wasn't too good...possibly one of the things that offset my mood towards the beginning (as well as the whole tired thing)...but it might just have been that we were standing so close...as i said in the last post, we were right in front of Lee...and Lee's guitar was the most dominating sound...even if that's what it was, it doesn't really detract from how fucking great shows are when right in the very front...it's like the best and stuff...hrm...i'll shut up now...
