ateolf: (METAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
went over to Brad's...then we went over to Jacques' and the three of us dudes went out to the local record stores to give each a stack of 10 of our cds to give away...first we went by Lastchance...while there i picked up Miles Davis: Pangaea...then to Legba...then to Shangri-La...there i picked up the RE/Search edition of The Atrocity Exhibition by J.G. Ballard...i also got The Album Leaf: One Day I'll Be on Time cd...then we swung by The Gilmore...happened upon Paul, Katie, and Daric outside...David met us downstairs...he joined the three Family Ghost dudes and we ended up eating at Cuban D's (Sabor Tropical)...after that Brad weenied out and we dropped him back home...

the remaining three went to a show at The Caravan...the opening band was The Original Cyndi...Jacques knows the singer...a while back, i picked up a cd they were giving away so i knew in advance how bad they were...but i had yet to be exposed to their "theatrics"...Justin (the singer) was trying to be all "glam"/Mick Jagger but ended up just looking like Mark E. Smith's retarded, young brother...he was even jumping around and rolling on the floor and it was just really stupid...at the end he even took his pants off...also, i never thought it was possible to BUTCHER "Jumpin' Jack Flash" 'cuz it's such a horrible song to begin with, but they somehow managed...but anyway, i ended up talking to that Jorden girl that i've talked to some online and had seen at the past two shows i went to (though, uh, i didn't talk to her then...) as i know absolutely nothing about girls, i don't really have any opinion on that whole thing...then next band was, i think, called Johnny Smash and the Cash...as i'm sure you can tell by the name, they were pretty bad...generic rock'n'roll shit...so bad that Jacques and David could not stand to be there any longer so we ended up leaving...

we went back to Jacques' and watched a little bit of a movie before heading to Huey's...earlier, it was mentioend that the Johnny Smash band was the kind of shit you could just hear at Huey's or some other similar bar...then the irony hits, sort of, when we get to Huey's and the bartender's playing Miles Davis' Live Evil album! it's fucking rare that they play anything halfway decent there and here they are playing something really fucking good...and there's been a weird Miles Davis theme running along all day...1) i started off the day by listening to Bitches Brew in my car 2) i happened upon that used copy of Pangaea at Lastchance 3) hearing Live Evil out in public...i don't know wthat that means, but i certainly won't argue with it...well, i guess that's all i have to say...rock on, dudez...
