this afternoon i found a tick on the back of my neck...i got my mom to put a match to it and get it out...it was removed with head attached, thankfully...but it still sucked...as i said before, god should be sent to hell for creating ticks...the early evening consisted of going to Sekisui: Pacific Rim with family in celebration of my sister's birthday...when we arrived, at a nearby table was one of the cutest girls ever...she was eating with her mom...she was asian and had glasses...i was in love...woe woe woe woe WOAH! sorry, i'm kind of lost as to what the hell i'm talking about...after that i went over to Jacques' for some intense kickin' it...it was a little boyz nite owt, THAT'S RIGHT! he was hungry so we went to Huey's...shortly after we arrived, so did Keith and Kerry and they dined with us...a fine bit of company or something...afterwards Jacques and i decided to see what Justin was up to so we went over to his house...kicked it with him for a little bit...then we went off to make flyers for our upcoming show (may 25th...two freakin' weeks away!) Jacques had this book of minimalist art on loan from the library...there were some pictures he was looking at using...i, however, have sort of a thing against using art for uh, flyer art or whatever...i don't know the whole specifics of my adversion but i think it has something to do with cheating or something like that...but looking at a few of the works i had an idea involving the cutting/pasting together of several pieces into a sort of minimalist art collage (montage, if you will...don't that sound fancy!) (though attempting to look like something on its own...) we went to Kinkos, copieda bunch of the pictures and proceeded to cut and paste...the idea mainly involved the incorporation of various block patterns together...with a little splash of circle for the kicks! it turned out fucking awesome! like, i'm beyong impressed with myself...i'll have to scan it (along with our old flyers) and put 'em on the site and link 'em here to share with all ya'll wonderful folks...the rest of the evening/morning was Jacques and me sitting around looking at the flyers and being excited about how fucking cool they are...then we got tired and here i am...tomorrow (today) is for their posting...
