barrage of stuff...
May. 8th, 2003 10:30 pmthe morning started off with me having to help move a couch to my sister's new apartment...then when i got back i had to help move this giant desk to the upstairs...taken apart in three sections...the last of which i had to remove to two doors off their hinges to fit through...but uh, i guess that's not as bad as carrying furniture upstairs...after that i went and hung out with Paul for a little while...hadn't done that in a while...some stores were visited...then i went and hung out with Justin...oh wait!!! i forgot to mention, while at Paul's apartment, i looked my grades up...i wasn't expecting them to be posted yet but it was...i got a C!!! WOOHOO!!! i'm'a graduatin'!!! i did a little dance...quite happy that i'm finally DONE WITH SCHOOL!!! 3 cheers for barely scraping by through mediocrity!!! anyway, Justin and i ended up braving south memphis to eat at Uncle Lou's Hot Wings and More Home of the Monster Burger...as late late night tv commercials had tempted us so in the past...i ended up getting not only a Monster Burger, but an "Ultimate" Monster Burger!!! the motherfucker had 4 hamburger patties stacked atop each other!!! i physically could not take a bite through the whole thing! i had to make these weird, angular bites that covered half the sandwhich or so!!! it was crazy, man! also, they offer fried okra as a side!!! THAT'S just awesome...sometimes you gotta love the south! and the ghetto too, i guess...it was tasty, but i don't know if i can eat another Monster Burger...it kind of sucks paying a lot for more than i can eat...like chinese buffet...but i am tempted by their honey dipped hot wings...while there, on the tv (after gracefully catching the end of The Simpsons) we caught the beginning of this rasslin' show...and i daresay we got sucked into it...well, not the show as a whole, but whole plot/banter aspect before/between the matches...the whole thing of Hulk Hogan becoming Mr. America (stars/stripes cape aside, wearing a mask with a star that makes him look like Starman from the original NES wrestling) and denying that he is Hulk Hogan (i believe due to some back-plot of him being banned or something...) but, uh, Mr. America...really fucking funny...america in general is just a good recipe for comedy...unfortunately, rasslin' loses its entertainment value the instant the actual rasslin' starts...although there was ONE exception...at the end of one match, this dude was "injured" so badly he had to be carried out on a stretcher...then the opponent comes back and takes him away from the EMTs as soon as he's out of the ring and picks him up, tied to stretcher, and smacks him against the ring post...it was actually one of the funniest things ever...one of the few highlights once the post-Mr. America fiasco decline set in...moving along, i ordered the new Wire album the other day...also, today in the mail, my cable snakes arrived...now i can hook up all 16 tracks from my mixer to recorder...woohoo!
