bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

i was awoken early this morning...there was a ring on the doorbell so i rushed out of bed and found the mailman w/ a rather sizely package for me (this is also very similar to the dream i was having at the time...hoo-ah!) it kind've sucked that i had to pay some more for some customs charges or something, but i couldn't let that stand between me and my new synth...so yes: the package contained one EDP Wasp...(if you're curious as to what one is and don't know, then much information on this and other wonderful synthesziers can be found at www.vintagesynth.com) i then rushed to the store to get some batteries...then i tried to play the thing...sound wasn't happening out of it...if i turned it up all the way and had the modulation up i could faintly hear something happening, but even that didn't change pitch when i hit keys...i was getting very upset and angry and such...then i saw some special non-knob adjustment thingies...the book said one was to tune the oscillator...i didn't see anything about the other, but i took a screwdriver to it and after some adjustment it was working right!!! so i guess it was the keyboard sensitivity...then i played around w/ it for a while...dear god it fucking rules!!! ahhh!!! i spent far too much time being amused by my playing "Taken"...i had even drug the keyboard amp upstairs...i was shattering my ballz w/ the synth...it was great...and all the reviews and stuff i've read, even while saying how cool it is, mention the touchpad keyboard (not actual keys, they don't press down or anything) and how it's at least a minor drawback to the synth...but i actually think it's really cool...admittedly i haven't had the thing for even 24 hours, but i have no problems w/ it...i kind've like it better than regular keys...although i guess it'd be hard to play w/out looking at the keyboard, as there's no physical distinction between keys or anything...but that's enough about that...

went to work...closed and stuff...i was tired all night 'cuz i had woken up early...but if i could lose sleep every day because of a cool synth arriving at my door, i'd be the happeist dude alive! tired or not, i was basically in a good mood...i spent most of the night daydreaming about the Wasp...mmm...i'm even contemplating staying up even longer in spite of being dead tired to play it some more...mmm...the night was sort of slow, but i ended up doing alright...$125...and this one guy that usually tips like $7 or $8 tipped like $3 and then called the store saying they realized they didn't give me as much money as they meant to (i was still gone)...they called twice...told Donna they'd bring a bigger tip by tomorrow...if they do that'd be pretty ruling, i say...well, i'm pretty sure that's all i have to share...night, folks...
