the fall

closed last night...it was mostly pretty slow, but i have a few (two) "interesting" stories to relate...it rained last night, to put it very mildly...it FUCKING poured is closer to accurate...it didn't last too long, but while it did, it was fucking insane...looking out at the street and the parking lot across it, was like watching the Mississippi River flow past...except the wind was pushing the water across, prob'ly much faster...i had to take one order out in it...it was only to Morrison (a few blocks away), but i could barely go 20 mph in that weather (which is saying a lot for me...the way i drive...) i get there and i'm soaked...the guy lives in a pretty big apartment complex and the rain coming off the roof looks like a waterfall behind me...(at least i didn't have to go through that...) the guy opens his door and sees the shit and is says "oh, man!" so i'm thinking, "ah...he sees the situation...how bad the weather i had to drive through to bring his lazy ass his food...he understands...his sense of compassion that typically comes along w/ being a human must now have worked its way into his brain/heart and convinced him to tip me well for my efforts..." $2 tip...fucking cunt...i hope he dies...in a hurricane, because irony is funny...the other story is towards the end of the night...my second to last run i take this guy his food and he gives me a $9 tip...fucking sweet...then he calls back and complains about his steaks so i had to take him some re-makes...which i didn't mind too much as he gave me $9...then he was all apologetic and thankful i came back and gave me another $5!!! "sweet," as they say in germany...after work i took Donna home, as she lives in the same building as Adam, i inadvertently woke him up and hung out w/ him for a little while...i hadn't seen him in like 2 weeks or so...

today: managed to drag myself out of bed for the stupid class...then back home for a little more nappin'...then work...a slight problem i found: i had 5 orders...the tips i recieved, in order: $2, $3, $3, $2, $2...2 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 2 = 12...my comission was like $2 or so...12 + 2 = 14...i walked away w/ $11...i don't know what happened there...i mean, it's a trivial amount of money...but still...i don't know if i dropped some or something was messed up or what...i don't take it as a good thing in any case...
