last night i hung out at Jacques'...uneventful but there's one uninteresting story i have to tell...Justin and i went to Taco Bell to pick up some tacos and whatnot for the crew...we ordered, among a couple other items, 14 soft tacos...she read back the order and i heard "four [something] soft tacos" that sounded close enough to me in my half-paying-attention state...we pull and and find that we've received 4 chicken soft tacos...we mention this and after shock and disbelief from the employees we're told to go back around and our 14 soft tacos would be ready...so we did and you know what? we kept the 4 chicken soft tacos! hahahaha! take that, THE MAN! after my first shift at work today i went over to Jacques'...we went by Cat's where i got out of the bin:
The Simpsons: Songs in the Key of Springfield
U2: The Lost Broadcasts Vol. One
then we went to Black Lodge...they rented some Korean movie and something else and i rented this Christian Death reunion thing...i'm sure it's horrible, but their first album somehow manages to be great and this is mostly stuff from that (though mangled versions i'm sure...) we watched that Korean movie first...it was really good, but extremely hard to follow since all the Korean schoolgirls it was about looked the same...seriously, i was pretty fucking lost trying to figure out who was who...and the fact that they were wearing uniforms certainly didn't help matters much either...and there were lots of flashbacks, which would normally be cool but i couldn't tell who was who so i could barely tell when it was a flashback or the "present"...then i got called back to work before it was over so i don't know how it ended...but despite the confusion, i could tell it was a ruling movie anyway...it was a bit insane as it had been two nights ago when i worked...the same fucking convention is going down at the Mariott...and everyone fucking waits 'til the middle of the night and orders tons of pizzas...ran out of dough again...bastards should die...luckily, i managed not to take any of those orders tonight...(though i lucked out two nights ago and got a $10 tip from one woman...but as reported from the other drivers who went there, that was terribly uncharacteristic for the group...mostly kids who didn't tip...bastards...) when i got back the other employees were drinking outside so i sat around for about an hour w/ 'em before Donna went in and clocked me out...i didn't mind...like, i got paid like $5 for sitting around...or something...yea...oh yea, i forgot to mention that on the way to work today, i picked up my Pearl synth from the shop...rock action...
p.s.
oh yea...i also remembered another pointless, uninteresting thing...last night as i was leaving, my dad was watching some movie (action, i guess...) called Black Friday and on the soundtrack was a song by Turing Machine..."Flip-Book Oscilloscope" to be exact...and i believe the whole song played, mostly the only audible audio aside from segments where it changed scenes and it was more quiet under the talking and such...and it's a pretty long song too (7:26 to be exact...i looked it up...) that's all...just kind've found that kind've odd...
