catching up, if i can...

i didn't do my spanish hw last night...i just procrastinated and procrastinated...i didn't go to bed 'til like a little after 1 either...getting up was a bit of an effort but i actually managed this morning...after slowly dragging myself out of bed and all i went to class...calculus got out early and i used that additional time (along w/ the 20 or so min between that class and spanish normally) to do my spanish hw...i soon must do my operating systems problem set...so far i've only done the first one (out of 10), which i did on the plane to NY (actually the plane to Atlanta, where we stopovered...) but i didn't do anything else hw-wise the whole trip...my class is at 5:30, it's now almost 12:30...i hope i can pull it off...i did w/ the last problem set...but i'm sure this one's a lot less easy...i'm thinking after class tonight i'll go to bed right away and then wake up early and study for the calc exam at 8am...

the night before we left for NYC (tues) i went and got new shoes (dark blue Converse)...i'm thinking that the presence of new shoes on my feet helped contribute to the damage incurred...they were also a little smaller than what i usually wear, but they still fit perfectly alright...but it was funny watching the space the laces had to stretch across the top of the shoes grow durring the trip as my feet swelled up...(not a lot though, just a little...)
and i apologize to those on my friends list as i won't be able to read everything i missed while i was gone...catching up after one day is quite the large undertaking, and after almost a week...iyee!

op sys->lodging

whilst attempting to do my operating systems hw this afternoon, i ended up just passing out...technically it's not due 'til midnight tonight but i prob'ly won't be able to finish it by then...it being a day late won't be too much off, and weighing my options, it's prob'ly best to concentrate on studying for the calc exam tomorrow morning tonight and getting a decent amount of sleep for it...then i can do my op systems homework tomorrow after class and have it just be only a day late and only get a little taken off...in related news: on my operating systems midterm just before spring break, i got an 82! i did better than i thought...(the highest grade was a 91...) as i predicted, i got full credit on the first half of the exam...the third part, i got 12 pts (out of 25) and on the last part, which i thought i completely bombed, i actually got 20 out of 25 somehow! i was expecting something in the low 70s and am quite pleased w/ this outcome...

the white house hotel: (the place we stayed at in the NYFockin'C...) just across the street and a block away from CBFockin'GBsh...very space efficient, in the crowded island of manhattan...a model of the city, you might say...in hotel/hostel form, anyways...and it's sort've like a cross between the two (hotel/hostel)...we did get our own room, but it was closer to a closet...lots of these rooms (some single, some double, ours was double) packed as tightly as could possibly fit...the bathrooms were communal, of course...the place is divided between floors (and possibly there w/ two sections on each floor, but i'm not sure...) and you have to have a key for your floor/section and your room...there's one "bathroom" for each floor section...it's actually an open space coinciding w/ the hallway running alongside the wall the door connects to...there were three showers (very small stalls) a few sinks (i was almost surprised that they actually had electrical outlets next to each sink, as our room didn't have any...so i was thankfully able to shave...) and a few bathroom stalls...it was interesting as there was no gender division...and as we had no electrical outlets in our room, the alarm clock i had brought was useless...but we managed the waking up far better than i could have imagined...the setup was a little weird at first, but it wasn't a bad place, i don't think...ayh! New Fockin' Yawk's all's'abouts survivin' 'n shit! so what th' fock!? if yous ain't tuff you's a faggit! you gotsta deal or get dealt wif! also: there are so many hot asian (/other) chicks in that city...breaks my heart, man...or something...

it's nothing short of what i expected, but it's still funny to see...i need to hurry up and procure my ticket...also there's two other shows to be looking forward to in the near future!:
The New Year (ex-Bedhead/Codeine) is this week (or next) actually...i think...
and Fuck's actually coming here on their final tour! i had recently gotten a "rough draft" of the tour schedule via email recently and Memphis wasn't inclueded (which struck me as odd as one of the members lives here...), but while i was in New Fockin' Yawk i received an email of the official tour schedule and they'll be hitting Memphis April 4 (or somewhere around there...) gosh-golly i love shows!

oh yea...studying for calculus...oops...i need to get away from this damned machine...
