the mid of the term

my wooziness progressed into a bad headache yesterday...but i took some headache stuff and took another (very brief) nap...then watched The Simpsons...by the time that was over i was feeling all better-like...my coughing seems to have passed but now i seem to have the stuffy nose, icky sinus thing going on...but that goes away w/ cold medicine stuff so that's not too bad...

my spanish midterm was today...i think i did well on it...it was all essay-type stuff...the first part gave you two bits of text, and while you were supposed to all comment on 'em, you were also supposed to say which texts they were from and the writer...i got the titles right (well, i just looked up one of 'em and it's called "Bilingual sestina" and i just wrote "Bilingual"...) but i didn't remember any of the names of the authors...but that's just a small portion and i doubt it'll matter too much...and i was actually surprised at my ability to write sentences and all w/out the help of a dictionary or any grammar references...i guess i'll see about that when it's all graded and stuff...

i have more physics homework and some calculus homework due tomorrow...i'd better get to all that soon...and our first programming assignment in operating systems is supposed to be due today, but on the sheet he accidentally wrote the 3rd instead of the 1st so he said he wouldn't count it late if you got it to him by saturday...so, of course, i haven't started on it yet...i actually haven't even installed Minix yet...i'm a bit worried doing it on my computer, but i'm gonna download dos-minix 'cuz i'm a pansy and i won't have to mess around w/ any partitioning...it also provides a little cushioning between the os and the hardware and stuff so there's less a chance i can screw my system up completely (although it's still a possibility...) the joys of making changes to an operating system...ugh...
