Walk and Web

After work Mary Beth and I went on a neighborhood walk. Walking down a side street, this cat came out at us after opening its gate door and just started cozying up against us all friendly (and it was right in the same spot that Charlie was being dangerously friendly the other day). Then later in the walk we ran into Lawrence (our mailman) and he just chatted with us for a while, mostly talking about his daughter and then a little about when he was attacked by a dog a few years ago (showing us the scar and everything!). Not a lot else. I got changes for the current year up on the MC website (at least for those who've submitted their info so far). But while making the change I noticed some of the Material libraries are depreciated so I thought I'd get on that in case I'd want to upgrade further at some point. There were just a few depreciated components I'm using and most went fine and easy but one (the menu dropdown) isn't getting the colors to look like I had them. So, the colors when you hover over the menu items, but the menu, unhovered, has the background color set correctly but not the text color. And then static part of the menu, before you select it to dropdown, won't have any colors change at all. Anyway, just an annoying bit of piddly crap.
