next stop: tinsel town
Mar. 14th, 2002 09:44 pmafter class i went by Lastchance and returned the sucky cd...Greg was super-cool and said he'd give me $9 for trade on it...i got:
Lost Sounds: Black Wave
Sun Ra and His Intergalactic Arkestra: Outer Space Employment Agency
then Greg said he'd give me equall trade on the cd i brought back for the Lost Sounds one...pretty rad (i paid like $11.99 for the sucky cd and the Lost Sounds was $9.99...only a $2 loss! woohoo!) then i had time to kill before door hanging so i went by Shangri-La and picked up used:
Mutantes: s/t
it was an interesting door hanging day...when we left the store, before doing any work we just ended up driving the entire length of Watson, up past Frayser to where it ends at Shelby Forest...a bit of a little journey to kill time...we stopped at this gas station at the end of the road and i bought a hamburger and fried mushrooms...mmm...then we headed back to where we door hung...just did this little area and headed back...it turns out Phil's pretty cool...i don't work w/ him too much 'cuz he's a day driver and i'm a night driver, but on the "trip" he was listening to Paul's Boutique and then some Misfits...afterwards we talked about cool music like Meat Puppets and such...i thought he'd be into like classic rock or something, 'cuz he's old i guess...then i went to my night class...then i finally got around to returning that cd shelf that was missing crap...i exchanged and got a new one, it is now put together and all my cds are happily living on shelves where they belong...woohoo!!! jesus, in less than 12 hrs we'll be on our way to Los Angeles...the excitement of it all finally hit me in the middle of real analysis tonight...this should fucking rule...i guess next time i "talk" to ya'll, i'll be giving the report on the rock...
