ateolf | Several Things

Had a very full day yesterday. Perhaps it could be an auspicious start to my vacation? We'll see! Mary Beth and I went and picked up lunch from Fino's. They've apparently taken the Italian beef sandwich off the menu after covid, but they had an Italian pork sandwich that was similar (and good)! So we ate some delicious sandwiches on the back deck until a bee (or whatever) started pestering Mary Beth. Mary Beth had recently ordered a whole fuck-ton of Dominion expansions and we played a few yesterday. We started off with Intrigue in the afternoon (and then Cornucopia later at night). Then in the afternoon we picked Trudy back up from the vet and she's good and presumably with a clean mouth! They said she might just be sleepy and not hungry, but she ate ravenously. She was very cranky at first (though a bit woozy as the sedation or whatever was wearing off). In fact this morning, when I woke up to pee (hopefully before falling back asleep, which unfortunately I did not) I came back to bed and Trudy was sitting right in my place looking up at me. I saw the clean bowl and knew she was telling me to feed her. Also yesterday evening Mary Beth finished reading Priestdaddy by Patricia Lockwood to me. It was a really fantastic book. Later at night we watched Poison (the Todd Haynes movie)and it was also absolutely fantastic. I really liked it a lot. Now to continue the weekend portion of the vacation!
