So the load took a while and worked from home all morning yesterday. It finished right before lunch. Went to Pho Binh with Mary Beth for some delicious buffet. (The only sad thing was when they brought out the chicken wings there was a bum rush and they all immediately disappeared and I didn't get a chance to get any!) Went in to work after that. Mainly I was waiting for a code review that was scheduled at 4:30 (yeah, 4:30 on a Friday, jeez!) Oh but I get in and find out that kinesis went down around 8:30 and nothing was publishing in all of production. So the re-load I had done to make up for the fact that our kinesis publishing wasn't working...ended up having kinesis go down in the middle anyway! Then that 4:30 meeting ended up being pushed back til next week anyway 'cuz the guy doing the code review was caught up in some other issue. So there were lots of laughs. Anyway, I was able to end by leaving and going over to Loflin Yard for Spencer's going-away shindig. He's left to go work at the startup Stephen went to. Well, hung out there a few hours. Then went home and then to the show at Sounds Good. They're having some weird legal issue and all their shows have to be billed as private events and not publicly promoted and no alcohol. (And I had just set up a show there for late April a few days before this announcement so I guess that show's going to have to go that route as well.) So this was Paul and Jacques's show together. Ihcilon played and then Revenge Body played and then they did a set together. It was really awesome. Though due to my sporadic sleep the night before I was a bit out of it. But I got through. They also gave away a collaboration cd to everyone at the show: Revenge Body | Ihcilon: New Rituals for New Superstitions. Did another reload overnight and that seemed to go smoothly (as long as kinesis didn't go down again or some shit!).
