Some time just hangin' out yesterday. I watched Le Amiche. It was really good. Going into it and knowing it's relatively "early" and L'Avventura was his major breakthrough into his known style, I was a little "surprised" (not quite the right word) to see how "early" it doesn't feel. It's definitely true that L'Avventura was a radical jump into that which is "Antonioni" but a lot of his themes and elements of his style are already there. I'm definitely grateful he continued to push out into those directions, but Le Amiche was still really great and now I definitely want to further explore his earlier career. Also did some errands things by myself while Mary Beth was stuck cooking. I did a small grocery run and later went to feed and pet Jo Jo. We ended the night watching some Halt and Catch Fire. Made it up to the episode where Gordon died and it hit me inordinately hard! This is kinda late and barely worth bringing up, but I forgot a couple days ago and just wanted to jot it down for the record. Friday after lunch and I waas "off" work early, we went for a walk to the park as it was about to get dark. A nice little walk by the woods in the approaching darkness. Well, now we've slept and we're up and it's going to be our christmas today! Me and Mary Beth.
