A Series of False Stuff

ateolftook care of a few chores yesterday: deposited funds into the bank, got my oil changed, and bought books for school...(Elementary Number Theory, Basic Elements of Real Analysis, and Introduction to Probability Models...there was no book for my Models of Computation class...) the books are relatively small...i guess that's cool...i dunno...
then i worked...after which i swung by Brad's but he wasn't there...then stopping at the nearby Mapco Paul and Katie showed up...they invited me along for a wild romp by Black Lodge and a movie at the ol' theatre house...i rented a Destroy All Monsters video...then we met Monika and another girl whose name i forget at the Studio on the Square to go see Ghost World...and i must say it fucking ruled...the beginning was kind've annoying but then it began to make up for it a lot...and looking back on it, after seeing the whole thing, the annoyingness of the beginning was actually quite necessary...(showing the annoyingness of the characters and all that mumbo jumbo...) and it had one of the best fucking endings ever...it's prob'ly one of my favorite movies now...then we hung out at IHOP for a little while...woo...
afterwards i was on my way back to see if Brad was there and right at Cooper and Central i saw his car at the light so i u-turned and he was like "i'm going over to Keith's" so i went to Keith's...kicking it commenced over there...while there we watched the Destroy All Monsters video...it fucking rules! it's a shitty copy though...there's all this static that keeps happening on the top of the screen...but i'm sure it's über-rare so just being able to see it at all's really cool...but tape quality aside, it fucking ruled...Keith, Chris, and i ended up talking and hanging out for a long time...then i noticed all this light stuff happening outside..."what time is it?" "6:45" "!" so i went home...finally saw the puppies...oh, i don't think i've mentioned here that she had the puppies...four lived...one was already dead and one was alive when born, but it's skull wasn't fully formed so they had to put it to sleep...there's one girl and she's white-white...they're cute...Lizzie's okay, although not happy w/ the whole being a mommy thing...
and today my cables arrived...quite fast...there weren't as many as i thought there'd be...i was thinking 8 1/4" on one end and 16 rca on the other...but it was 4 1/4" on one end and 8 rca on the other...so it was half of what i need...but one of the snakes that came w/ the recorder was 16 rca on both ends, so i went to Radio Shack (two of 'em actually, to get 'em all) to get 8 double-rca -> 1/4" jack adapters...giving me the other needed 8 tracks...so now my studio is in effect or something...hopefully i can start making cool stuff happen w/ it soon...woo!
