Mary Beth and I had our christmas yesterday. She gave me In Search of a Concrete Music by Pierre Schaeffer which is super-awesome 'cuz I'd recently been flipping out over it after I got it as a present for Dustin and now I've got it for myself too! She also got me this boardgame called Patchwork so I can't wait to play the hell out of it with her. We went to visit my mom in the hospital last night. I misspoke yesterday when I said she didn't have surgery. I'd misunderstood my dad's text. She did have surgery, it was the post-surgery physical therapy she didn't have. We stayed a while she seems to mostly be doing okay. It was kind of funny 'cuz my dad was freaking out over her moving her non-broken arm (her iv had apparently come loose earlier and there was blood everywhere), but the more he kept telling her to stop moving her arm while she talked and hold it still the more she moved it in a passive act of defiance. I ended the night by rewatching The Firemen's Ball with Mary Beth. Also, some neighbors gifted us cupcakes, ooh! Now it's christmas day and it turns out they're not letting my mom out of the hospital today after all. I think we're going to go up to the house to see the nephews and do christmas with them and then to the hospital for my parents. Alrighty then.
