Yesterday had a lot of back and forth between downtown and Overton Park. We go downtown to pick up Horace's fluids from the vet, then Mary Beth wanted to spend a bit of time at the greensward so we went to the park and hung out for a little bit. Then we went back downtown for the Walk for Solidarity. A little protest march from court square down to the civil rights museum down main st. When we got there, they passed off the megaphone to anyone who wanted to talk and say stuff about the whole situation. It was pretty good. Walked back to our car and hurried to the Brooks to catch a screening of Today We Live, though we missed the beginning. After it was over I'd gone about all day not eating so we went back downtown to try Deja Vu. It was good. Okay, and how did we spend our wild Saturday evening? Going around coat shopping 'cuz I need a coat. We went to a few places but I didn't find anything that wasn't an unfortunately combination of expensive and bland/ugly. I found one I almost thought was perfect at Stein Mart but then when I tried it on I realize the collar (just the collar) is wool and itchy and that was gonna annoying to wear. Maybe I'll find something later.
