Once again, authors but not titles in common: Dick and Kerouac. I should probably try Swartzwelder one of these years: I think he's popped up on three separate 2015 lists with which I had overlapping tastes.

Swartzwelder is pretty funny. Forgive me if I'm restating the obvious, but he was as writer on The Simpsons for forever. At times his stuff reads like a lighter and more directly slapstick version of Brautigan.
