Let me think what's been going on since my last post. Oh yeah! Wednesday after work I went over to Josh's. We were gonna work some more on our coding project so I brought over that laptop that started working again and guess what? It was back to not working again. Doing what it'd do before when I tried to boot it up. So once again I was kinda useless. Bah. But we played around on synths and drum machines and stuff after he explained some of his ideas. Then we ended the evening talking a while. It was fun. Thursday Josh and Molly invited me, Mary Beth, Paul, Shawna, and Jacques to hang out at the Rec Room (it was their anniversary and they wanted to hang out with us chumps!?). It was much fun. While waiting for others to arrive, I figured out the metal ring on a string game that's outside on the deck. I was thrilled by this, yes. We got a living room area for a little bit. There was some bad Mario Kart playing (N64). I played Paul in Smash Brothers (Wii-U). Neither of us had ever played before. It was goofy and ridiculous and quite a bit of fun. I played some skee ball and finally started getting some in the top hole! Fuck yeah! A few arcade games were played. Played Jacques in some foosball. Yesterday there was an it appreciation cookout thingie at work. So there was some food and standing around outside under the tent Toby brought and eating and sitting on the lawn chairs we brought. It was also a fun thing. Oh yeah, and I saw Chris Williams out there. He's working in another part of ServiceMaster. Hadn't seen him in years and years. After work Mary Beth and I went to this story competition at Amurica. Oh and next door at Crosstown Arts there was some exhibit we went to afterwards. It's all these tamale husks. Anyway, for it there was a bunch of stuff going on outside like free drinks and free paletas! And yes, they were from La Michoacana! That was unexpected and badass. The theme of the stories had to do with music. Some were pretty good. Okay, then we went over to the exhibit. It was like this giant structure with tamale husks covering it and some bits of art strewn around. Upon leaving it had started pouring its ass off outside. We tried to wait a little bit but it didn't really let up. So we got wet. This morning I got up early to go for my jog. Aftwards I went to the post office when it opened to pick up Dustin's birthday present (his party starts in less than an hour). It was delivered on Monday. I signed the slip for redelivery. It was picked up. The mailman did not bother bringing it back. At least I was able to pick it up with no trouble. Okay, we seem to be about caught up.
