i guess i'll do this chronologically...

ateolfwent to get my Camy's check yesterday...it was actually like $35...more than i thought it'd be...but i think she just took the first week (3 days of which i worked) and didn't take the $30 off for the shirt deposit thing yet...that's my guess...i could be wrong...[shrug] deposited that, bringing my bank account closer to a non-negative number...this was a few hours before work and Paul wasn't home so i drove around going various places, such as Lastchance and Shangri-La, not that i had any money to buy cds w/, but i had nothing better to do so i went to kill some time...about 4:30 i went back and Paul had just made it back in...then Jacques showed up shortly thereafter...brief chillin' insued before i went to work at 5...
it was really slow yesterday...i only did 2 deliveries...but i made out well 'cuz i got $9 in tips + milage compensation...not bad...and i only worked an hour and a half before they let me off early...i was to call back at a quarter 'til midnight to see if they had picked back up and would need to go in or not...so i come back to The Apartment at 6:30 or so...Paul was going to throw a party of sorts and Chris showed up there shortly after me, having been let go early too...he and Paul went to the liquor store to get liquor, of course...they took a while so i went w/ Jacques and Amber to Target and to eat...we ate at Huey's...upon arriving, the party was in full effect, at least in its own terms...Paul and Chris and Tommy and Amy were sitting around watching the end of an Ed Wood movie...Jacques and Amber disappeared, of course...then we watched Hercules in New York...fucking brilliant...(Arnold Schwarzenager in '69, going by Arnold Strong...) a pretty fucking hilarious movie, i recommend it to all...the best part was how they were trying to do Greek mythology, but more than half of the dieties went by their Roman names...then we started to watch this really bad alien horror movie but we didn't finish it 'cuz it sucked so bad...just really boring...it's name started w/ an 'X' but i don't remember it...Tommy and Amy left before this move, i'll add...then i made 'em watch another tape they had rented and watched earlier: Get a Life!!! (only two episodes were on the tape, unfortunately...they could fit more on a tape, damnit!) the best fucking show ever! (not counting The Simpsons, of course...but it even gives The Simpsons a run for its money...to use a really stupid phrase...) it was the Spewey (the alien) episode and the one where Chris becomes a stalker...Jacques had wandered out of his room at the beginning of this...after it was over he brought out Metal Gear Solid which he acquired hours earlier at Target...we played that...it's pretty fucking ruling too...
went home far too late...almost 5 am...there was a note awaiting for me when i arrived...by my mom...informing me that they found cancer in my grandmother (dad's mom...not the one they've already found cancer in and is already being treated for...being my mom's mother...) she was in the hospital and was going to have surgery to get the tumor(s) removed...and then she went on about me needing to clean my room or find somewhere else to live...
so i had to cancell recording Brad's band today...went to the hospital...waited around...and to make a semi-long story semi-short: we waited around but she was being moved to ICU/CCU so they could check up and make certain everything was alright, 'cuz her blood pressure was a bit erratic after surgery...but they don't think it's anything serious and think she's okay...after a little while i had to go to work...
it was pretty busy tonight...though not really hectic, i don't think...i was doing deliveries almost the whole time, which is a good thing...i made $31 in tips + compensation tonight...quite nice, i think...for the 3 hrs i was there...
i had writted the CCU waiting room # down to call my family and see what was up before i headed back out there after work...but it said the number was disconnected or out of service or something...so i just drove to the hospital...they weren't there and i asked the lady there...she knew the name and said she had been moved to the recovery room, where the visiting hours ended earlier than where i thought she was going to be...but she called and they let me in...so i visited my grandmother for a little while...but she went to sleep after not too long...(and she had been drifting in and out a few times while i was talking to her...) so when she seemed to be quite passed-out, i left and went home...and i'm home now...

Get a life - I'd wish they'd have that on reruns. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only that loved that show.
Even after 9-10 years I can still remember the Spewey episode. Especially the part when Chris starts eating that butterscotch pudding that comes out of Spewey's armpits.

the version of Get a Life that most sticks out in my mind is the one where he uses toxic waste to make himself smarter and goes around winning spelling bees...as my memory serves me, the best one...
