Mary Beth and i had some brunch at the Hi-Tone yesterday as i was off on a sunday...then we went and visited my grandmother who we hadn't seen in forever...she seems to be doing pretty good...i'd been a little worried because anytime it was planned on getting together with her (including holidays and such) she cancels saying she's not feeling good...after that we finally tried out that mexican restaurant that shares the name of that little town we went to on our honeymoon for its reputation of having the best paella in the world: El Palmar...the food was more authentic than i'd expected, but i guess that makes sense as it's on that stretch of summer...i guess the neon signs in the window threw me off...anyway, it wasn't bad but i don't think it was as good as the others...my fork was dirty and i ordered lengua and got bistec...it was good but maybe i'm just a little bitter over that...anyway, i go to work later for the holiday...i'll only be working a half day but that's better than the typical nothing i've been getting for holidays lately...

don't be down! let's do something to cheer you up. just say the word. i'm up for anything, whether it's watching you chulip it up or going out for a walk or i don't know what. it's nice out today too. are you sad i didn't set things up for a cookout? technically there's still time so when you come home we could, and we do have a grill...

i love you.
