went to work early today, finished reading both Effi Briest by Theodor Fontane and 2666 by Roberto BolaƱo and they were both good...and as i went to work early, i got off early which was a good thing in that there was something going on tonight and it was a nice coincidence! the something going on was this found film festival...well, so i got home, Mary Beth and i ate, and then we headed to the theater...we get up and the guy's like 3 tickets left and no we don't take cards just cash...and i didn't have enough cash on hand for both of us, i mean, the theater TAKES credit so i didn't suspect that this would be different...it wouldn't've been a problem as there's an atm right there, but unfortunately not enough time to withdraw the money before the person behind us took two of the last three tickets...shitty timing...well, instead we got pizza to sooth our souls...and now here i am with a longer evening!

Lame! You missed lots of good stuff. You should have called me for some cash, although I guess you probably didn't know that I was inside.

as i said, there was an atm right there, but there was not even time to walk the ten feet to it before two of the last three tickets were sold...

Sorry, didn't read that part. ATM was down anyway, if that's any consolation.

we walk out and the FIRST THING Robert says smirking is something like "ten bucks says when we next talk to Amber she'll go on about how great it was, mutter." bwaha.
