last night Dustin and Courtney came over (our first guests since the apartment's been gussied up!) and we did a christmas exchange...i got this single string fretless guitar thingie...it's just a string on a metal rod...and the output and pickup are in a tin can that clamps onto the rod via magnet...pretty cool, however within the first ten minutes it broke because the magnet doesn't stay clamped on very well and upon falling off the fragile insides of the tin can came apart and you can't really open it and it wouldn't work anymore...Dustin emailed the guy and he's gonna send another tin can...so i guess it's good that it happened so quickly...now i know how fragile it is and now i've got a replacement...we hung out and had dinner and all was swell...this morning, being attached to the bed i downloaded a bunch of games on the Wii: Bit Boy, Arkanoid Plus, Art Style: Rotohex, A Boy and His Blob (NES), and Super Metroid (SNES)...it's very exciting...i missed a package which i scheduled to pick up from ups tonight...i know it's the rest of my secret santa book order! excitement!

So, one of the best games ever (Super Metroid) and one of the worst (A Boy and His Blob). How's that Arkanoid? I've been meaning to download it!

i'd never played A Boy and His Blob, it had always looked cool...the Arkanoid's pretty sweet...i mean, you know what to expect...the only drawback is there's no knob, but the controller moves faster than the original NES being played on a normal controller so it's not so bad...the power ups are pretty sweet...it's very much worth the $6...
