getting to work yesterday was crazy...on the interstate right before the exit that my workplace is nearby a semi-truck had flipped over and the lanes were blocked off and traffic was backed up...now i leave in such a manner as to give me about ten extra minutes and i hit this about fifteen minutes before my shift starts...anyway when i finally get up to it and see that it looks like the exit's blocked off i called work (this is about 5 til)...but right after that i managed to get around it and sped my ass off down shelby oaks dr and barely arrived in time...though i probably wouldn't've gotten in trouble because it had been going on for over an hour and bunches of more people were late...oh well, i won anyway...then they offered overtime and so i took it and worked til midnight (five extra hours...) and it was slow and that wsa prtty sweet...and i came home and had some mail: Virtual Light by William Gibson...then today at work i finished reading The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera...damn, i probably should have saved the end of it for home 'cuz i was close to crying on some calls, luckily the worst of it was on my lunch break when i was out in my car...man, if something's sad and about dogs then i don't think there's any hope for my composure...

i missed it because in the morning i'm a gigantic pussy and take summer to work...normally i curse my pussiness because it wastes time but not that day. this cute gay dude at work i'm work buddies with was commiserating with me...he takes summer too. ha.
