i went to my parents' for easter and all yesterday...got to see the dogs...it was sad though 'cuz Shiloh just got a herniated disc or something and had to have his movement restricted for a week or so until he heals so he was locked in the cage and was so sad and i was sad and it was all sad...i petted him as best i could through the bars...he was really excited at first...it was also sad 'cuz i heard him barking in the other room when i first walked in and hearing his voice made me subconsciously think of Leala and for half a second without realizing it expected her to come running up...but on a happy note: Jason, my nephew, is now a big baby...a big, bouncy baby...he has a big head...we hung out...

kinda lame today is i've been stuck guruing for the week...which isn't too bad in and of itself but does severely restrict my reading (which is the whole damn point of work anyway...) in spite of this i still managed to finish reading Lost in the Funhouse by John Barth...after work i winded up at barnes and noble and bought too many books: Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy, Selected Stories by Robert Walser, Buying a Fishing Rod for My Grandfather by Gao Xingjian, Oblivion by David Foster Wallace, and Elizabeth Costello by J. M. Coetzee...the last three were on the bargain shelves so i couldn't resist even though they're damned hardcovers...

oooooh yeah, that's tougher to kick and generally more foul. at least it's only for a few days and you can sit back as far as needed.

it's not too bad...i didn't even notice at all the first day...my only complaint is with the amount of reading i'm getting done this week!

yeah... honestly that's a key reason i don't want to guru. i hate people in general so that's the main reason. i hate stupid, illiterate types who can't REALLY type that well. that and i used to be in TRS only back when it was an option and it sucks BAD being a guru because you'd have all that down time between calls, like 5+ minutes. The only real benefit is that you can scim a few minutes here or there due to downtimes when you guru.

i still read between calls, but you've still gotta put out a bunch of time explaining stuff and stuff...
