Wii!!

i gots me a Wii saturday night! thanks to Dustin who called walmart in west memphis at 8 and found out there was already a line and then called some less likely locations until we ended up going to the one on Elvis Presley Blvd. and we get there i guess about a quarter to 10 so we've got over 2 hours to kill...i was thinking there'd be an actual line but someone gave us a ticket and i got number 15 so that was perfect timing (each store got 20)...so we wandered around the store for a while...me buying a quart of orange juice 'cuz that was the smallest they had, but i was at the height of sickness and so i drank it all easily anyway...i was somewhat out of it for a little bit but i survived...i got my wii and two extra remote controllers and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess...then there was a big production where we had to go outside after purchase and go around to the back of the store and pick up the actual system...anyway so i got it and stuff...i must say i'm super impressed with Wii Sports...i got into boxing and started kicking ass and just made "pro" last night...and it's pathetic 'cuz playing it made me sweat a bunch...and today my fucking arms are sore...i know i move more than i'm supposed to 'cuz i'm the kind of person who moves around no matter what i'm playing...like i probably jump to the side playing tetris and shit...so yeah, but i'm an out of shape wuss who will finally excersie from video games he owns...right...and then one great thing about the wii is that it's so much fun not even playing a game! you create these "mii"s and we started making 'em for about everyone we know and it was just really funny in that too-easily-amused variety...but uh...i didn't get any extra nunchuk controllers 'cuz i didn't think those multiplayer games would use 'em, but boxing does...so we're still not able to play against each other on that...'cuz i went to the stores yesterday and everyone's out of all the damned controllers...i guess i should feel blessed to have what i have...i did pick up Rampage: Total Destruction and, guess what? it's a Rampage game! so that makes me happy...and you CAN play it without the nunchuk but it doesn't control as well...moving around's a little awkward...but it's not like this game requires any degree of accuracy...

so aside from being sick the past days were pretty awesome and i made up for it today...being all stopped up i didn't sleep so well and have been behind...then i was up way too late playing video games last night...so today i felt like shit...my cold's improved since saturday but compounded with the tiredness and the sore muscles and then my lips were chapped and just fucking HURT all day and i didn't have my lip balm in my bag as i usually do...and then i'd talked to my supervisor about using an award for time off today, being sick and tired would be a perfect day to use it but when i needed it he wasn't around...so looked forward to that then had my high high hopes crushed and then when i was buying lunch they said my bank card was declined so i was paranoid about having overdrawn my account with these big purchases...i didn't THINK i didn't but i wouldn't've been surprised...looking back on it now that i've checked, it hasn't even been nearly enough time for those purchases to even show up...and i still think i'm okay...i'd known i was making myself poor for the next two weeks, but i was pretty sure i wasn't going into the negative...of course my balance hasn't even changed since saturday...the network probably had an issue or something...anyway, so topping off my already crappy state and my inability to rationalize the probability of charges even showing up yet i was made really pissed off...but i'm better now...just ready to pass out early early early early...which makes me sad i can't enjoy my wii all night again...but i guess i'll be happy not dying...and then there was mail today: SPK: Information Overload Unit...and i think that's all...but my brain's not really functioning properly so maybe not...

right now it's a point system...you buy points and then you use them to download the individual games and you've paid for the game...it's about $5 a game...there's nothing for subscriptions now...so it's like buying the software instead of renting...
