winter snow

it snowed today...like a whole bunch...i was at work at the time...speaking of work...crazy stuff...first off i had put in a vacation request form for 5 hours off on the day of the Mogwai show...and then it was fucking denied...i told my supervisor and hopefully she can do something 'cuz i will fucking not be there at that fucking time anyway...and it was over a month in advance...but, uh, today at lunch i talked to the-girl...i went in the lunchroom and ate and she was there eating too but i didn't say anything then...and after a bit she left...after a bit more she came back and she had Naked Lunch with her so i was like "that's a great book" and then we talked about books and junk for a little while...an actual conversation, more than just the one book...so i guess that's something...i also gave this other girl a ride home...then after work i went over to Jacques and Amber's...i kind of like it when there's a lot of snow but it's not terribly cold (i'm not a fan of coldness, and that's my biggest complaint about snowy weather...) so i dunno, i think it's pretty nice out...the roads haven't really iced over yet...when that happens i'll probably change my mind, but for now it's rather swell...

Naked Lunch is cool. When I was in high school I did a paper on it. I couldn't believe that my teacher let me, I'm thinking she just didn't know what it was. I ended up getting an A on the paper.

Good luck with the girl. My advice (not that you asked for it) be confident, or at least try to appear confident. Be yourself. Yada yada yada.

hah...though not knowing what Naked Lunch was seems like it might make her even less inclined to go for it...just 'cuz of "naked" being right there in the title...i dunno...i had a teacher let us read A Clockwork Orange as one of our outside reading choices or whatever...he was like "don't tell the brothers i let you read this"...he was pretty cool...

so far the one semi-brief conversation went pretty naturally...like, you know, we actually talked and stuff...so i guess so far it hasn't been too bad...confidence isn't really my thing, but in regards to the few things that interest me i'm able to blather on for hours...(of course i'm incapable of saying anything at all about anything else...)
