some junk and...DOGS!!!

tried finalizing the album art last night...was bothered by the fuzziness on the cover as a result of having resized it, etc...so i redid it, getting the size right to begin with and it looks much crisper...so that was the plus then came the minus when i tried to convert it from RGB to CMYK...most things looks fine except on the cover, the centerpiece is a big solid RED-red image atop a regular picture...the conversion makes the actual bold red significantly duller...if anyone knows anything about printing let me know...i'm still unsure as to what could be done about this...

at work today i was back in trs for not quite an hour but then i was back in ip...but THEN that only lasted an hour and i was BACK to trs!!! so that was fuckin' sweet...it would be awesome if when i go back there in two weeks i'll still be in the sweet queue...i'll try not to get my hopes up...i did miss out on one thing 'cuz they're temporarily doing a new thing against fraud just til monday which seems it could be fun, but i'm just fine not having had to deal with it in the slightest...and i finished reading The Sorrow of War by Bao Ninh...oh yeah, and i was almost late for work this morning! tracking a package online showed me that the post office tried to deliver something this past saturday but i never got a delivery notice...so i went by there and it took those assholes forever to answer the window...even getting up early it put me significantly behind schedule but i managed to rush and get there just in time...at least they still had the package after almost a week...ooh, another thing...there's this girl that's SUPER cute that i'm not sure if i've noticed before...anyway as i was leaving i stalked by where she was sitting to see what book she was reading (she had just stepped away) and saw it was Vonnegut (and one of the two of his i've read)...but i'd suspect i'm not hip enough for her anyway...not that that matters 'cuz it's not like i'd actually ever end up talking to her or nothing...anyway...

after work i went by my parents' house and picked up the dogs!!! so now i'm on VACATION with my 3 dogs for 2 weeks! how awesome is that!? so now i'm hanging out with the doggies! it's totally awesome...i had some mail waiting for me when i got here: Cecil Taylor: Unit Structures...i guess that's all for now...

i just finished my friends' cd cover, and the pressing plant actually wanted it in RGB... which is weird as hell. CMYK is never truly accurate on screen. i'd say wait until you get a proof from them (assuming you're going through a fairly shit-together organization) and then adjust and resumbit as needed).

okay...i thought there might be a difference, but everything else except that one color was exactly the same...and i read something about CMYK not being good for bold colors or something...i dunno...if i don't figure more out about it i'll just ask the guy and see what he says...

I think I know the girl you're talking about (she's been reading that Vonnegut book for a while now). She goes out with this tool who also works at MCI. I'm not sure how that works because she seems really rad and he seems . . . well, not rad at all.

how gay! I'M rad, we're perfect for each other, obviously! but the book she's reading, i read that in like 2 days (not to brag, but it has a lot of pictures and is a really quick read...) maybe she's not so bright and wishes she was rad...at least i can amuse myself with such thoughts...

i don't think so...she has straight, short blonde-ish hair...and i couldn't imagine another girl being as cute as she is (except for the girl that i think is Billy's girlfriend who is a hair even cuter...)

he's this guy i kind of know...he worked there a while back and i was his guru and he has decent taste in music and books...a year ago there was talk of me recording his band but (apparently) that band stopped happening, or so he said...he stopped working there some time ago and recently came back...at the same time as this girl who's THE hottest girl ever and i'm almost positive is his girlfriend...
