homage to ourselves...

work was a little better today...though sort of a reverse of the usual as of late...like, instead of being busiest at the beginning, it was slower for most of the shift and then got busy at the end...but there was a bit of good news...now we can use the stop proceedures for ALL the relay calls and not just the instant messenger ones...of course we have to wait for certain criteria to be met (which aren't always met in these calls...but most often they are at least...of course i know the twats will start changing their tactics to get around this...but at least this is further active step against them...it'd be nice if the trend continues even further...) then after work Jacques came over so we could work on "Homage" some more...we redid the bass and now the bass sounds abso-fucking-lutely amazing...we were having a little trouble at first but then we nailed it and it blows me away and shit...we started to redo my guitar, but it didn't work...the reason, when we did the original recording Josh's guitar overpowered mine and my mic picked up mostly his guitar...you can hear mine but not quite loud enough...(and Josh's mic didn't really pick him up all that great...but he sounds really good through my mic...) so we were going to switch them and i was going to play over his old part and redo a part...however, my playing on that song isn't set...i mostly play one chord but the rhythm is somewhat improvised...so there's the new track sounding good but you can still hear my old track underneath Josh's and it makes it a little off and weird...so we'll have to redo both guitars...it was getting late so we decided we'd just do it together when Josh is here...but for the most part it's coming along...still no vocals (Jacques is always putting that off...) but that's all...one more step closer...yeah...
