Nero has a karaoke filter, where its intention is to lower the vocals...obviously, this doesn't always work...i don't know exactly how it goes about determining what to filter out...it's seemed to work better w/ higher vocals...a few times it's worked great, sometimes it's passable...sometimes not at all...on a few albums it lowered just about everything OTHER than the vocals...as it's karaoke, you don't really need super-quality anyway...you don't get words or anything...i wouldn't doubt there's a way to do this w/out too much difficulty...but if it's something you already own and know, it's not too necessary...though i don't really know all the stuff i have too well...i do know at least 2 songs perfectly, and that's about all i'll be able to do in one week at Neil's anyway...so i'm good to go for now!
