woke up sometime in the afternoon on saturday...Adam was up and about (you may recall from my last post that i had to end up sleeping over there...) Keith came home for a little while...after a couple hours, and we had rearranged the living room furniture, Brad woke up...i accompanied Adam to the Wal-Mart in Southaven...while there i had a vision of Hell...i'm so used to only going to that wretched place at like 3am and had forgotten just how utterly abysmal it is durring peak hours...(Wal-Marts in general, i've never actually been to this specific one...not that there's a difference between any two...) one of the things he purchased was some spray paint and posterboard...so when we returned to his apartment, the four of us made art for the living room wall...bad-ass...that night Bride of Chucky was watched and In the Company of Men later...(the latter is a damned good movie...) Adam's friend from out-of-town came over...Jason X was watched at some point, but i was in another room for a good bit of it...after midnight, Justin came over...we did something pretty rad: we got on the internet site for that service for deaf ppl, where they can call someone and type and have an operator read what they say and type back what the person on the other end says...of course, us being the juvenile dudes we are, you can imagine where this leads...everyone else refused to be the one to receive the call and actually talk to the operator...the first attempt ended up in everyone passing the phone to someone else going "no, you do it!" as no one else would, i ended up being that person...it was fucking great...the operator knew right off that it was a joke, Adam says deaf ppl don't tend to type in proper english as it doesn't relate to the word order in sign language...i did end up having to grab a blanket to put over my mouth at various points but i held up well...at one point, they made the operator guy crack a laugh...the whole time he had this subtle smarmyness to his voice and he was being overly emphatic in a really funny way...and a lot of times, durring the more emphatic parts, he'd throw in this hillbillyish accent...it was pretty great...i wish everyone else got to hear it...we should find a way to record this stuff next time...acting like an adult is for pussies...i ended up leaving and going over to Justin's where we hung out for a little while...then he was kind and took me home, listening to Dökken and Quiet Riot along the way...good times...i slept for a while...woke up to watch The Simpsons (haven't done that in a while...) was scheduled to work tonight, but of course, my car's still fucked...stupid mechanics being closed on the weekend after fucking my car up...then i ended up going back to sleep...i woke up around 11pm or so...i guess i'll stay up and work on my program, even though i'm pretty sure it's well beyond able-to-be-turned-in...court is in the morning...i guess i'll borrow my mom's car...then get my car fixed...Low's tonight...WOOHOO! one thing that sucks in a very weird way: we NEVER have good shows, then this week 3 fucking shows i wanna see...but asking for 3 days off is a bit much now, so i could only ask for 2 off...so i'll bee seeing Low and King Missile...i wanted to see the Oxes, but as i saw them a few months ago opening for Wire i guess they're the casualty...and i got my schedule when i called work today, i'm closing that night so there's no chance i'll be able to catch the show...oh well...

hrm...looks like lj's down again...hopefully it won't take 2 days for this to get posted again...blah...

update: i'll also just add the fact that i just realized how bad i smell right now...
