Same venue as last night, started with the humble Jim saying: Everyone's
gonna play, but I'm just gonna play a little bit, you don't have to bother
looking this way. There's nothing here to see.
So he started doing some powerbook magic for about 15 minutes.
Then Loren and David played some guitar together, followed by Kim and Lee
playing guitar and Mats playing sax. This was IMHO one of the best parts of
the whole week.
After that Jim came out again, he interduced every player, and started
talking about how SY, him self and some other people had recorded this album
with pieces written by 20th century composers, and that they were gonna play
a piece by a 20th century composer now.
Then Thurston talked some about the composer. He finished by saying, "This
one's called Louie Louie!" and then they played fucking Louie Louie!
Kim on drums, Thurston trumpet and horn, Lee piano, Steve guitar, Jim sax
and Mats on guitar! It was the best damn version of Louie Louie I've evr
heard!.
The show ended with an improvisation by Lindha Svanteson singing to
Thurston's guitar, Jim's electronics, Mats sax and Steve's drumming.
Then Jim played records in the lobby. All the musicians was hanging around,
as they did every night. Took a little getting used to seeing all of SY
everyday, but it was cool. They were mostly left alone, but some fans very
of course asking them questions and stuff.
