Yesterday I finished reading The Reivers by William Faulkner. It was good. The writing wasn't Faulkner at his most Faulkner but it was still quite Faulkner and good (so relatively light for him, but still good). Some of the characters were a bit stock and it wasn't perfect, but I enjoyed it. I took a short walk around the pond yesterday with Mary Beth in the very still and quiet park and we saw some turtle heads as usual. I'm a bit disappointed in Memphis's voting choice yesterday. It's also a bit surreal seeing people talk about Paul Young in terms of "change" as he's absolutely the most in line with Strickland and the developers that are currently bringing our city down. I'd like to be proven wrong though, so we'll see.
