ateolf: (MEEEEEEERY CHRIIIIIIIISTMAS HAHAHAHA!!!!)
I got a very early Christmas present from Mary Beth yesterday. A whole bunch of cases of soda got delivered! There's a case of some strawberry rhubarb soda and then a ton of Maine Root and Sprecher! So, uh, keeping in with that theme I put in another whole bunch of cans of Pineapple Pepsi from Little Caesar's (once again, disclaimer that no food was ordered or consumed!...also, this had been planned before the other grand soda bounty, as August is almost over and does that mean the end of "summer" and the end of this soda's existence? I don't know, maybe! not taking the risk! ordering two-bags-filled worth as that could be it!). We've had this noise going in our apartment since I think this past weekend. I thought I'd determined it was coming from upstairs and that it must be like a fan or something like that. But then last night I happened to be in the library room and noticed a certain part of the floor was vibrating so I figured out it was coming from the basement. Mary Beth had gotten up early and went and looked to check it out and she says it's coming from some pipe in the basement. Not really sure, but I suspect it could be the sound traveling from what's sounded like a generator running nonstop for months at this mansion across the street. You can hear that outside all the time (all times of night) and on the sides of the house (but not the back) but we've luckily never heard it from the bedroom. This newer noise, the bedroom is definitely where you can hear it and it's often kept us up a bit at night. Well at least now we know what it is. But it's pretty weird. The way I used "Noise" in the Subject of this post makes it sound like it'd be a much better thing than it actually is!
