Sandwich Adventure

Our mail hold was lifted yesterday and so a few packages came rushing in that had gathered up while we were away. I got the last book from my birthday gift card haul: We Who Are about To... by Joanna Russ. Then two packages of cds all containing: Slow Blink: Memory Care, Slow Blink: The Place, SkyCreature: The Breath of Galaxies, and Leap of Faith: Time and Symmetry Entwined (the last one was an extra thrown in with the SkyCreatures one, they both have Chris from Pop Saw playing on them). In the early afternoon Mary Beth and I went on a lunch adventure. We were going to go to this one place but it was closed for vacation so then we went out to Pop's Deli which is way the fuck out in the far southeast corner of Memphis and we had been there once many many years ago and it was very good but a bit of a trek! So we made use of my off day to return. And yeah, it was real fucking good. The thing to get is the Chilean sandwich which is sort of like a modified philly cheesesteak but on cibatta bread (maybe all their stuff is on cibatta, I'm not sure) but with green beans on it. Describing it doesn't do it justice. I remembered it being good, but it was even better than I'd remembered. Okay, that was our main activity for yesterday!
