Still White

Yesterday I finished reading Against the Written Word by Ian F. Svenonius and since I got it from LibraryThing's early reviewer program I had to write a review of it! So I just threw my thoughts down. Mostly that it was pretty good and mentioned the parts that were good and a few weaknesses (mostly how it was best at its most absurd and that at other times it could be repetitive and glossing over details that could have improved it). As you can tell by my subject line, there's still snow on the ground outside. It didn't snow again it's just stayed cold so the snow's stayed out. I heard the streets were still pretty bad yesterday. Thankfully I didn't have to go out at all! Mary Beth and I had a nice cozy day inside. I broke out the fruitcake for the first time this year! (This time we got two of the one that's my favorite...so, lots of delicious fruitcake for me!) Anyway, ate that and watched some Steven Universe at night. Fun holiday times! Oh yeah, and because of the weather conditions, MLGW has been doing rolling brownouts for different sections of the city at supposedly thirty minute intervals (starting yesterday and into today). We got hit this morning but it was when we were asleep (we holiday-slept-in). Only know 'cuz I heard all these electronic things kicking off at the same time (actually was kind of what woke me up, but it was okay timing!). Anyway, power out when you're asleep is the best time for it to be out!
