More More Pop Saw

I got a couple cds in the mail yesterday: Carl Stone: Four Pieces and The Hafler Trio: Cleave: 9 Great Openings. Other than that, it was the second show (of three for this week) last night. First up was whit3corset with an as-usual very energetic show. Jack has the flu (on top of his father dying over the weekend) so he had to cancel and we just had a shorter show. So then Pop Saw was up in the middle for their second show in two nights and they were as fantastic as always. Last up was Stupid Lepton and Karl's set was pretty incredible (I think it's the first time I've seen him play without accompaniment from a plant!, but some lovely warped modular atmospherics). He had a group of his students (I think) that came up to see him play, but they only came when it was supposed to have been his time to play but since Birmingham Sits Throned wasn't on the lineup the show ran early and he had just finished when they got there. Also, I posted a little clip of his performance on instagram and got a warning about other posts with language similar to mine getting reported (I'm sure because I started it off with the word "Stupid"), no actual issues so far but it was kind of funny and actually Stupid. Hung around and chatted with folks a bit, but got home before bedtime which was very nice! (I mean, it was scheduled to be over well before that anyway, but it was even early-earlier!) Still, it took me longer to fall asleep and on top of that I woke up a little early so that's annoying, but whatever.
