Results

Yesterday my team had a going-away lunch for our scrummaster David. He's not leaving the company, but got promoted to a new position so he won't be directly on our team anymore. Good for him, but a little sad because he was a very good scrummaster (good at what he does and keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes without bothering the team very much, which is a rare talent). Anyway it was out at Casablanca in Germantown, had never been to that location but the food was as good as the others'. I even took some extra tea home to share with Mary Beth (it'd been a long time but how nice it is to be reminded how good their tea is). Mary Beth got her hair cut for the first time in a while yesterday afternoon and it looks super-nice and cute! In the evening after work, Mary Beth and I went for our walk around the neighborhood. The last two times I'd been wearing my new boots to break them in. We ran into Joey (of Indie Memphis) walking his dog one street over. So he's a new neighbor of ours too. We chatted just a little bit. Mary Beth and I watched a bunch of The Simpsons she'd had a hankering to see. Good stuff. I haven't seen every result of yesterday's elections, but what I have seen looked very good. Before going to bed last night I saw the big ones (Lee Harris and Steve Mulroy) went well. Then this morning I saw something about it being the first time in Shelby County history that all county-wide office were filled by Democrats. (And hey, I know just having a 'D' next to your name doesn't mean all that, but we did have some actual good people running for a lot of things this time...and hey, a 'D' is almost always at least better than an 'R').
