I got some new hiking boots in the mail yesterday. My old ones (that I'd been wearing since high school) finally had one of the soles start to crumble apart. Those Coleman boots were some good ones! (I mean, of course, I wasn't wearing hiking boots all or most of the time in the intervening years, but still!) The new ones (Merrell this time, didn't know anything about the brand beforehand) seem alright! Clipped Trudy's other front dewclaw yesterday, and that went smoothly. At night Mary Beth finished reading to me The G Spot by Alice Kahn Ladas, M.S.S., Ed.D, Beverly Whipple, Ph.D., and John D. Perry, Ph.D. I got the recording of this weekend's show out into the world. I wish I had the tape mixed a bit louder throughout most of it (I did crank it up at the end), but it's fine, it at least adds to texture and I don't fault myself for these unknown elements that I recorded right before the show started, you can't really practice that kind of thing beforehand! Anyway, it's fine. Though watching the brief recorded clips people posted online, I liked the way it sounded in the warehouse room all reverberant and boomy. The direct-in sounds clean and dry in comparison. But it works. I know Scott recorded the audio with a room mic along with the video so maybe I'll have that to compare it to later.
