I saw Marc Ribot perform up at Crosstown last night. It was a really great show. It was just him with an acoustic guitar. Overall, if I were to classify it I'd say "jazz" but there was a wide array of styles sprinkled about in there. I recognized a few songs he played throughout the set. There were a couple from Rain Dogs ("Singapore" and "Jockey Full of Bourbon") as well as "Ghosts" (Albert Ayler) and "Amen" (John Coltrane). Ran into David and Mary and hung out with them a little bit. Had a good time just listening to some incredible music. Anyway, now it's a new day and daylight savings has returned, so...yeah!
