I went and printed some fliers yesterday for the December show and put a few up around. At Goner, I perused the cds and picked up a couple of cheap ones: Julius Eastman: Feminine and Tom Waits: Big Time. Then I strolled over to Burke's and talked to Kole for a bit and picked up a few books: Pornografia by Witold Gombrowicz, Confessions of Zeno by Italo Svevo, Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf, and The Moment and Other Essays by Virginia Woolf. Then I finally took my old Honda up to a place to get an appraisal on selling it. Unfortunately but not surprisingly, they're offering just a little under what I was hoping for. I mean, I know it's not worth a lot at this state, but it was just under my hoped-for range (I was hoping for $500, would have taken $400+ without thought but they offered $300). The offer stands for a week, I'll probably end up just doing it, but there's a little time to think about it. Later at night Mary Beth and I caught up on The Good Place and then watched Diana Vreeland: the Eye Has to Travel, documentary about who it says its about. In the middle of it, the dishwasher started beeping crazily and then checking on it, it was all leaking and making a nice mess. Been feeling it was on its outs and it's lasted us a fairly good while, so we tossed it and ordered a new one. And that's about it for now. Oh, here's the recording of my show from this weekend.
