A Show

Had a pretty good show last night. Got packed up and out in time to swing by Indie Memphis to pick up our festival passes as well as get little mini-flyers for Friday's show copied. Then I went up to Two Rivers for the show. Java Cabana next door is closed. Mary, the owner, died pretty recently and apparently had refused to leave a will so things are super up in question about that. Anyway, show. Kim Vodicka was up first. She had a guitarist with her and had ableton stuff going while she read her poetry. It was good. C.J. Boyd was next. This was his very last show of a twelve year tour! It's the third time I've seen him in like two years or so and his set was much like those others, which is to say really good! I was last and did my thing. Never sure if people are into it at all, but whatever. I think it went okay, overall. Afterwards, this guy named Roy came up and talked to me and he's apparently a friend of Linda Heck's. He gave me his card, does something with trying to bring back the Coliseum and said he wants me to play in the Coliseum. Which, I mean, that would be amazing. Not sure if it'd be something that'll happen but the vague idea of it is pretty darn cool to think about. Hit up merch and picked up C.J. Boyd: Kin Ships box set. Then back to work today and there ya go.
