Pumpkin

Yesterday I went out to a pumpkin carving gathering at Zachary and Denny's. Not a lot of people showed up and there wasn't a lot of pumpkin carving but there was a bit of food and fire. I did carve a pumpkin. Didn't have a sharpie to do an outline first so I just went freehand with the knife and I think it turned out pretty alright. It looks like an archetypal, poorly carved jack-o-lantern, but the poor craftsmanship enhances its qualities. Just hung out a while, kept the fire stoked. After a while there were kids running around. It was a pretty good time. And now, it's still the weekend!
