Honk Honk Honk

I went to a show up at Two Rivers last night. Artificer opened and she was very good. She did upgrade her drone machine and get a new one...however, apparently it got plugged in wrong and fried so she was back to the one that'd given her problems before. Though now at least it seems to be stabilized. Linda heck was next and she did two guitar songs at the start and then ended with a long, laptop-driven spoken word piece that was really great. CJ Boyd closed and he was good as he was the last time I saw him (almost right at a year ago, I see). It was the same structure as last time. Upright bass to electric bass to bass ukulele all built up with much use of a loop pedal. Really good live set. Some talking and hanging out and such. Good show. It fucking happened again with my car alarm. This time after 1 am. Fucking ugh. And this time it wasn't raining and hadn't been raining so I don't even fucking know anymore, I guess there's just something with wiring or a sensor or something. I disconnected the battery and let it rest for the night (though funnily enough, at some point it got "reconnected" in that the terminal ended up brushing up against the side of the battery connection and when I got to my car again this morning the power was back on...oops...at least it didn't go off again, that would've been stupid). I have it horn-proofed right now. Took the horn relay out of the fuse book when I got home from work today, at least until I fix this or whatever. It was a very active day at work, getting things done and all that. Also, I finished reading Hopscotch by Julio Cortázar. It was quite good, there are definitely really great parts of it. And there we are.
