Last night Mary Beth and I went up to the National Civil Rights Museum to see another Indie Memphis screening. This was two shorter documentaries. The first was called I Am Somebody, about a healthcare workers strike in Charleston in '69 (and made at the time). It was good. Next was called The Washing Society about workers in laundromats, but it also kinda mixed in theater and dance. Not sure that I was really into that one. Then there was work today. Trying to wrap up that thing I've been working on. Think I finally finished it right at the end of the day, but man, I kept struggling with shit. And then things I'd do to fix one thing would end up messing up something else that was previously working. And that kept happening. Blugh. I came home to my replacement copy of Wish Her Safe at Home by Stephen Benatar. Now I can get back to finishing it.
