Car Lights
Aug. 6th, 2018 06:21 pmScreened more Indie Memphis shorts with Mary Beth yesterday afternoon. Later in the evening I went over to Chris and Megan's. Amy and Luís were also there. We watched this short movie that someone sent Chris to watch for his podcast 'cuz he's interviewing the musician. It's this thing where a dude with a hang drum and a bunch of other musicians went climbing in the alps and recorded songs live in the environs. The music wasn't spectacular or anything. It wasn't outright terrible, but I wasn't into it. Contemporary string/wind ensemble kinda stuff with stomp-esque elements. Without the gimmick there wouldn't be much to note it by. We also sat around and talked a while. My car wouldn't start when I tried to go over. The battery seemed to be dead. I took Mary Beth's car and after I came back tried to jump start it. This was later at night, around 10 or so. As soon as I connected the batteries, my horn started blasting really loud. That sucked. Then I was like fuck this I'll worry about it later. I went at it again after work today. I unplugged the horn's relay. On hooking up the batteries, the brake lights lit up but nothing else got enough power. It seems like there's something broken causing my brake lights to constantly be on and that drained the battery. So I need to fix that and then get the battery replaced. Fun stuff. Ah. Took Trudy to the vet this morning to get her stitches out. We don't have to give her the oral medicine anymore so maybe she'll stop hating me so much again! We shall see! I got a module in the mail today (from some birthday money and on the cheap): Intellijel Quadra Expander.
