I went to Chris and Megan's housewarming and engagement party last night. It was mostly a good time. Awkward at first. I first arrive and Chris is the only person I know (and I don't even know him that well). It's mostly older people at first, Megan's family and I feel even more out of place than usual. I brought things Mary Beth had baked and they were a huge, huge hit and that ingratiated me with some people. Eventually more younger people Chris's age came. There was this one couple and the guy was wearing a Videodrome shirt and he complimented me on my Can shirt and I returned it and we seemed to get along alright. Natalie from Nots showed up after a little bit and she talked to me a little bit. They had a flight starting out for Australia I think 4 am today so they're probably on a plane somewhere (or a long layover at LAX). Amy showed up towards the end of while I was there. She had just been to the emergency room and is apparently having health problems so I hope it gets diagnosed soon and she does okay. A little more validation on the show the other night as both Chris and Amy said they were bored by it. Chris talked to me some about music and their plans on events they're trying to get going in town, though it's a party so it was frequently interrupted. He told me about Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith. They had negations going with her agent or whomever for like two months for a show at Crosstown Arts in December, but then the day the Rolling Stone article on her came out they got back and said their offer was off by two thousand dollars. They'd been talking for a long time and this never came up before and if (and had they gotten back and said it wasn't enough they may could have gotten back to Crosstown and worked something out) so it fell through and that's kinda sad. Anyway, now it's Sunday and uh yeah.
